Verse World—a virtual reality platform described by its creators as “the world’s most hyper-realistic VR metaverse”—has opened to the public after more than two years of development.
The platform is launching at a time when the broader interest in the metaverse has declined since its peak in 2021. Verse World is now attempting to establish itself in this space by focusing on the product itself: a functioning virtual environment accessible via both desktop and VR.
Despite renewed attention due to the recent release of its Solana-based token, the developers maintain that Verse World is primarily a software platform focused on immersive gameplay and experience.

What is Verse World?
Verse World is a free-to-play metaverse game developed by Verse Estate, offering users access to an open virtual environment where they can explore locations, participate in social spaces, attend events, and engage with various in-game activities.
Players can access the platform using either standard PC setups or virtual reality headsets. Movement is controlled using typical keyboard and mouse inputs, with teleportation options and in-game tutorials included to help new users navigate. The game requires Windows 10 (64-bit), at least 8GB of RAM, a modern GPU such as a GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD equivalent, and a stable internet connection.
The platform includes optional in-game purchases and digital goods, but its core features are available without payment.

How is blockchain used in the game?
Verse World incorporates blockchain through the use of Solana-based NFTs. In 2022, the platform released two NFT collections—one based on Los Angeles and another on New York City. These NFTs grant owners access to virtual properties within the game, such as in-game mansions and private digital spaces.
NFT ownership is not required to participate in the main features of the game. The developers have stated that these blockchain assets are intended to provide optional enhancements rather than limit access to the broader platform.
The game’s developers have also announced plans to introduce tools that will allow users to create and sell their own digital content, such as virtual clothing or buildings, although this functionality has not yet been fully implemented.

What’s next for Verse World?
The project’s Discord server shows limited announcements since January 2024, and some community features appear to have been discontinued. Despite this, the game remains downloadable and operational, with recent gameplay events reported by users in 2025.
Whilst public activity in the Verse World community has slowed in recent months, the developers have recently hinted at further events and campaigns aimed at encouraging user engagement.
