El Salvador is set to host a historic week of Bitcoin-focused events from January 27-February 1, solidifying its reputation as “Bitcoin Country” and a global hub for Bitcoin innovation.

The week will commence with a Circular Economy Summit followed by the Plan ₿ and Paso a Paso conferences. This diverse lineup is tailored to educate, inspire, and empower participants locally and globally.

The week begins on January 27 in El Zonte, the birthplace of the Bitcoin Beach initiative, with the inaugural Bitcoin Circular Economy Summit.

Organized by the Bitcoin Beach team, this summit connects over 15 Bitcoin circular economies from across the globe, offering participants a unique opportunity to learn from grassroots Bitcoin initiatives and leaders from innovative organizations, including Mi Primer Bitcoin, Blockchain for Humanity, Geyser Fund, and Blink Wallet.

“Our primary goal is to help attendees with their projects and encourage their success in Bitcoin education, adoption, and community outreach around the globe,” says Deanna Heikkinen who is helping Bitcoin Beach organize the Summit.

She highlights the grassroots nature of Bitcoin adoption, “The way forward for truly sovereign money is through the grassroots efforts of Bitcoin circular economies. Historically, the largest ideological and cultural shifts occur from the ground up, not the top down.”

The summit will include speakers, panels, and workshops showcasing successful Bitcoin education projects, business solutions, as well as Bitcoin entrepreneurs, equipping attendees with actionable insights to empower their communities while showcasing Bitcoin companies that are helping with Bitcoin adoption.

The Summit is open to the public on the second day, January 28 and a public meetup at the Palo Verde Sustainable Restaurant and Hotel will be held on the evening of January 29. Tickets for both events can be reserved here.

Following the three day Summit, on January 30-31, Plan ₿ Forum El Salvador takes center stage as one of Central America’s premier Bitcoin conferences for 2025.

Hosted for the first time in this region, the event brings together global leaders, technologists, entrepreneurs, and Bitcoin advocates to discuss topics including Bitcoin adoption, economics, financial freedom, and freedom of speech.

Within this prestigious conference, Paso a Paso, a fully Spanish-language event, offers Salvadorans and the broader Spanish-speaking community a unique space to learn about Bitcoin in their native language.

Roman Martinez, a leader from Bitcoin Beach, emphasizes the importance of creating content tailored to local audiences. “Bitcoin is for everyone, and the ability to learn about it should not be limited by language barriers,” says Martinez.

Paso a Paso is designed to address the needs of Salvadorans who may have felt excluded from predominantly English-language Bitcoin events. It will feature Spanish-language talks, presentations, and workshops, highlighting the contributions of Salvadorans to the global Bitcoin ecosystem.

“This event recognizes Salvadorans already contributing to Bitcoin and provides a space for those who haven’t attended Bitcoin conferences before,” Martinez explains. “Paso a Paso reflects El Salvador’s role as Bitcoin Country and as a meeting point for Spanish-speaking Bitcoiners.”

Plan ₿ Forum also includes an impressive roster of Bitcoin leaders including Adam Back, Jimmy Song, and Samson Mow, as well as other influential Bitcoiners who will share their expertise on Bitcoin’s role in shaping global financial and societal landscapes.

The week concludes with a vibrant closing festival at Bitcoin Beach in El Zonte on February 1, celebrating El Salvador’s pioneering role as the first country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender.

Together, these events underscore El Salvador’s commitment to Bitcoin education, innovation, and economic empowerment.

This remarkable week offers attendees unparalleled opportunities to learn, network, and celebrate Bitcoin’s transformative potential.

Whether through grassroots initiatives like the Bitcoin Circular Economy Summit, global conversations at the Plan ₿ Forum, or local-focused events like Paso a Paso, El Salvador continues to lead the way in showcasing Bitcoin as a tool for economic freedom and global connection.
